Hi there 🙂 Do you think it is absolutely necessary to cover both advantages and disadvantages if you don't see any disadvantages, for example? Can't you just say something like "I do not see any disadvantages" (and explain why)? Looking forward to your ideas regarding this point. Thank you!

Hi there Iolanta, there will be disadvantages if the task asks you to discuss both advantages and disadvantages. It is up to you to identify them. As you describe the disadvantages, you can explain why they are not strong disadvantages, or why they are outweighed by the advantages. If you say that you 'do not see any disadvantages' then you risk being awarded a band 5 for task response for not fulfilling the task requirements. It is better to say that while you 'recognize there are disadvantages, these are greatly outweighed by the advantages'.

@admin Thank you for your response! So as far as I understand, it is better to write anything, even a poor reason why something is bad, rather than not write anything at all. And if nothing at all does not pop in your head, the score will be lowered, which probably won't hurt the overall score much, if grammar, vocabulary and structure are satisfactory. I see!
