I’ve been teaching English and IELTS prep for nearly a decade, over that time I’ve experienced how rewarding it can be to see my students achieve their IELTS goals.
IELTS opens so many doors around the world and I’m always excited to help candidates reach their potential.
While teaching, I taught myself to code; over the last few years I have built this website, as well as two IELTS Android apps.

I studied English at university, and have spent the last 12 years teaching General English, Academic English and IELTS Preparation.
I have extensive experience in classroom and online teaching and am deeply sensitive to the needs of individual learners.
Helping people achieve their IELTS goals, thus enabling them to work or study abroad, is extremely rewarding and teaching has given me the opportunity to meet and help lots of wonderful people from all over the world.

Since obtaining a CELTA qualification in 2015, I have been teaching General, Business and Academic English, along with preparation for IELTS, University Admissions and Job Interviews.
IELTS allows people to achieve their dreams of moving abroad and being able to assist students in this process is extremely fulfilling.

I greatly recommend online lessons with Ielts tutors, especially Chis.
I was stuck at band 6.5 in writing (two times) and needed to get band 7.0 in one week.
Chris helped me understand what was my problem and went through important things with me related to writing task 1 and writing task 2. Writing can be especially hard to navigate as it is considered to be one of the hardest IELTS categories.
With great help though, nothing is impossible.
Absolutely amazing
Before taking classes here, I took the IELTS GT 3 times and every time I got 6.5 in writing. However, after taking few hours with Chris Cox, he was able to identify the problems I had with my writing and easily after I was able to get a 7.5 in writing.

From 6.5 to 7.5 in a few weeks
I was stuck with my project because of the writing part in the IELTS test. After two tries, I was still stuck at 6.5 when my other results were all above 8. Tom identified my weaknesses and addressed them with tailored exercises. After six weeks of bi-weekly meetings, I have finally scored 7.5, which was over my targeted score of 7. The writing course was also precious.

Superb writing tutor!
Writing in a nice and succinct way has been my weakness, it’s so hard not to beat around the bush and just get to the point! Not to mention the confusion of grammatical correctness and punctuations. Tom showed me how to write in a simple but effective way, hitting all the main points and meeting the writing requirements. The score I wanted
To all IELTS takers
I am intending to apply for my masters and I needed really professional people to help me to achieve the score I wanted. Fortunately, I came across ieltstutors.org and contacted Teacher Tom, a dedicated, professional and experienced IELTS teacher. I took one-on-one lessons with him. He helped me increase my score in writing so I got in the previous IELTS academic test writing section 5.5. After I took the lessons with Tom I managed to achieve 6.5 in writing which is really satisfying. As I practiced speaking at the same time with him and that also gave me a little booster.
