I’ve been teaching English and IELTS prep for nearly a decade, over that time I’ve experienced how rewarding it can be to see my students achieve their IELTS goals.
IELTS opens so many doors around the world and I’m always excited to help candidates reach their potential.
While teaching, I taught myself to code; over the last few years I have built this website, as well as two IELTS Android apps.

I studied English at university, and have spent the last 12 years teaching General English, Academic English and IELTS Preparation.
I have extensive experience in classroom and online teaching and am deeply sensitive to the needs of individual learners.
Helping people achieve their IELTS goals, thus enabling them to work or study abroad, is extremely rewarding and teaching has given me the opportunity to meet and help lots of wonderful people from all over the world.

Since obtaining a CELTA qualification in 2015, I have been teaching General, Business and Academic English, along with preparation for IELTS, University Admissions and Job Interviews.
IELTS allows people to achieve their dreams of moving abroad and being able to assist students in this process is extremely fulfilling.

I was stuck at band 6.5 in writing (two times) and needed to get band 7.0 in one week.
Chris helped me understand what was my problem and went through important things with me related to writing task 1 and writing task 2. Writing can be especially hard to navigate as it is considered to be one of the hardest IELTS categories.

I am so happy to my IElTS prep done here with Tom. He helped me alot in my study plan and I improved in all my sections. I wrote my IELTS twice and I couldn’t improve in listening and reading. 2 weeks to a band 7.5
Despite having a little under two weeks to prepare me for the IELTS, Tom’s strategic lesson plan was effective in familiarising me with the exam format and the requirements for each component. Although I have a strong grasp on the English language, Tom helped refined my writing skills and vocabulary, highlighting certain mistakes that I never would have otherwise realised. I started off at a band 6 but with Tom’s guidance, I managed to score a band 7.5. On top of that, the numerous practices, feedbacks and exam tips for each component truly instilled in me the confidence I needed when sitting for the IELTS.
